Romanticizing the details through textured art workIn my years spent exploring different art mediums and styles, I always came back to organic-inspired textures with a minimalist twist. Living in Utah for most of my life it’s no surprise that nature is at the root of each piece’s inspiration. If you pay attention you’ll see that texture is found just about everywhere. You’ll find it in the grittiness of rocks, sand on a beach, or the landscape that makes up Utah’s famous salt flats.
I’m a minimalist at heart and love creating and decorating with items that have a natural look and feel. I obsess with details and love watching how each piece transforms and comes to life with different lighting from all the shadows that get created within the texture.
For me, it’s all in the details.
